Manda Vance

I grew up in Niles, MI my childhood was your "normal" childhood. Family, cousins being like siblings, family reunions, parties and sleepovers. I played sports my whole life softball since I was 5, I played in high school and I also played volleyball, and tennis. I graduated in 2001 and went to college for a year before meeting my future ex husband and having my son. He is now 19 and has a grown up job of his own. I had put my life on hold to be a stay at home mom for a while before returning to work on April 1, 2006 where I met my best friend Ang!!! I threw myself into the life of my kid and his sports I was a married single mother and he played everything from baseball, football, soccer and ran track. I did this until his first year of college was over, after his first year he went into the trade work force where he is currently. His father and I got divorced in 2015 and well I've been single ever since. I do not know what drew me to the spooky side maybe it's the childhood trauma or the fascination of death and major depression. I've always wanted to live in Southern Georgia since I was a little girl and hopefully one day will make it down there. Now as an adult I work at The University of Notre Dame and live a quiet and solitude life and I love it.

Ang Lindamood

I grew up in a little town called Buchanan, Michigan. I was the youngest of 3 kids raised in a seventh day adventist home. I grew up with an extremely conservative view of the paranormal and anything considered "dark." Ghost were not the spirits of our loved ones but demons looking for a way into your soul. Beetlejuice wasn't a fun and quirky family film but a demonistic movie trying to corrupt the youth. I didn't get to trick or treat because Halloween was a pagan holiday filled with child sacrifice. Like others who have been raised with these extreme views, I was intensely drawn to spooky stuff. Wanting a taste of the forbidden, I tried to practice seances with my neighborhood friends around my blacklight lamp in my bedroom, would read online about astral projection hoping to learn how to do it and started to question the existence of a God. I met my husband, Robby, in 2004. We got engaged in 2006 and had a small hometown wedding in 2007. In the early years of our marriage we enjoyed doing paranormal investigations with a group of friends, going to different local cemeteries at night.  We then tried for years to start a family with no luck. I started fertility treatments and by miracle became pregnant with our 1st baby in 2017. Unfortunately, I lost the baby boy in the 2nd trimester which devastated us both very deeply. It took a long time for me to climb out of the darkness that surrounded me. I had surgery to fix what caused me to lose the baby and with fertility treatment again I got pregnant in 2019 with our beautiful daughter, Aurora, who is now a happy and healthy 4 year old. My family and I love the outdoors and love to go camping. I also love cooking and trying new recipes. I'm so very excited to start this adventure with my best friend and hope that our podcast will continue to grow, bringing all of us spooks together from all over the world!

Best Spooky Bitches for Life

Manda and Ang met April 1, 2006 at new hire orientation at Lowe's. They were fast friends and have supported one another through many ups and downs over their 18 year friendship. Manda left Lowe's which bummed Ang out but they still hung out as often as they could. Manda got a job at the University of Notre Dame in 2022 and she talked Ang into leaving Lowe's and coming to Notre Dame too so they could once again work together. They love doing spooky things together like hosting an annual "Falloween" Friends Gathering, going to haunted houses, taking a girls trip to Salem, Massachusetts, getting commemorative girls trips tattoos, matching batty tats and now creating this podcast together.
